- The idea for Khaos Company Theatre first evolved while Kaylee Spivey Good was working on her Senior Thesis Project for her Individualized Major in European and Middle Eastern Relations at Indiana University in 2011. Based on her experience studying abroad in Greece and through research, Kaylee wrote and directed a play entitled Khaos from which Khaos Company Theatre draws its name. This play created a fictional story based on the shooting of Alexandros Grigoropoulos as well as the immigration and economic issues surrounding the 2008 protests and riots in Athens Greece. The play won the Individualized Major Department’s Outstanding Senior Project Award upon her graduation in 2011. After moving to Indianapolis in 2012, she identified a need for more professional opportunities for emerging theatrical artists and began working on the creation of KCT. Khaos Company Theatre incorporated as an LLC in Indiana in June 2014 and put on its first production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in September 2014. Khaos Company Theatre's first two shows were funded though a crowd sourcing campaign through Indiegogo.com which raised over $2,000 to fund KCT's first performances of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and the 2014 Dionysia New Play Competition. Khaos Company Theatre is proud to be located in the historic Rivoli Park Neighborhood on East 10th Street and offers a special thanks to the East 10th Street Civic Association for their help and support in small business development.
